The new RS-2 HANS device from Stand 21 is new to the range of devices currently available on the market. After careful consideration of all the current versions available the Racing Series have some new design features making it the most up to date while based on the original design. This clever 20 degree HANS device now comes in Medium Large which fits 90% off all drivers.

The RS-2 has a new exclusive recycled carbon based manufacturing process which is molded under very high pressure, and with some manufacturing tweaks the cost has been reduced. This material and the process makes it very strong, easily passing the FIA testing programme for HANS, but also light weighing in at just 826 grammes. The RS-2 is 30% lighter than the sport series and just under 200 grammes heavier than the much more expensive Hi Tec carbon version.

Less weight means more comfort and also makes it much easier to handle when taking it on and off during between the stages of a rally. It has a new molded chest yokes which dramatically improves comfort as these now fit around your collar bone giving a more snug fit, when you consider it being held tightly in position by your harness. This is the only HANS device that has this comfort feature.

With its much narrowed upright back it allows a more positive fitment of your harness, thus making it easier to setup in the confines of the cars cockpit before stage or race starts. It comes as standard with a sliding tether offering the driver more head rotation but still giving protection against a whiplash injury in an accident. 

At the new incredibly cheap price the RS-2 is the perfect solution for cost, weight and comfort which makes the original sport versions a redundant model, and a much cheaper option to the light weight Hi Tec Pro HANS. We highly recommend this option for its design, weight and cost.
